The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen at HomeAway for a Business Analyst to join our Marketplace team. In this role the Business Analyst – Government Relations role will partner closely with the product, development and legal teams to drive requirement gathering and implementation of government relations products, processes and reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with cross functional stakeholders to elicit, document, and guide requirements and project workflows
- Create use cases and report specifications for use by the legal, product and development teams
- Close partnership with product and development teams to inform creation and implementation of a new internal and external facing product set
- Effectively communicate with management, operations and project teams across the organization
- Institute best practice process flows for working with both internal and external stakeholders
- Gather specifications from external clients and third parties
- Track and report on key performance indicators
- Aalyze and use data to provide input for various regulatory systems
Required Skills / Experience:
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Self starter with the ability to remove road blocks
- Strong business acumen with solid communication& presentation skills
- Proven ability to work successfully with product and development teams
- 3+ years’ experience in business and/or project management
- Proven track record of analyzing complex business problems together with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional environment
- Background in online marketplace type businesses/travel space a strong plus
- Advanced Excel skills a must
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Comfortable with uncertainty. Projects & assignments can change rapidly so the ability to prioritize is a must
