NinjaOne is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our competitive edge in the market. As the Director of Product Analysis & Competitive Intelligence you'll be at the forefront of our Competitive Intelligence and Product Analysis initiatives, delving deep into competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends. Your expertise will drive thorough analyses, offering invaluable insights to product, sales, and marketing teams. From crafting compelling competitive intelligence materials to conducting win-loss analyses, your role will be pivotal in refining our sales and marketing strategies. By collaborating closely with product management and marketing teams, you'll ensure effective communication of NinjaOne's differentiation to our audience. With your strategic insights and expert guidance, we'll continue to lead the way in a dynamic landscape, delivering impactful solutions and maintaining our competitive edge.
Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and in one of the following states - TX, FL, CA, NC, GA, CT, ME, KS, NJ, & VA.
Preference/Priority will be given to candidates based in Austin, TX or those willing to relocate unassisted.
What You'll be Doing

  • Build, scale, & own NinjaOne's Competitive Intelligence and Product Analysis programs.
  • Track and analyze competitor activity, pricing, messaging, and product roadmaps.
  • Conduct market-level landscape research and deep-dive product research for potential new TAM/SAM motions to provide feedback to product management and business development teams.
  • Turn external product research into informed actionable recommendations to aid product management and business development teams in their build, buy, or partner decisions.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis of competitive products to provide feedback to product management, sales, marketing, and enablement teams.
  • Develop and distribute comprehensive competitive intelligence materials, including cheat sheets, sales plays, battle cards, and customer-facing assets, to equip the sales & marketing teams with current competitor information and enhance selling strategies.
  • Conduct win-loss analysis to understand why we win and lose deals and use those insights to refine our sales and marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with product management and product marketing to ensure competitive differentiation for NinjaOne product messaging, web content, campaigns, and corporate marketing content.
  • Collaborate closely with the demand generation team to guide and develop the ideal content and competitive positioning for outbound competitive programs.
  • Communicate strategic insights and actionable guidance derived from competitive analysis to product management, sales, and marketing teams, including strategic support on competitive sales deals. Serve as the expert on competitor-specific issues to enhance product positioning, sales pitches, and marketing campaigns.
  • Assess the competitive landscape to pinpoint product gaps, threats, and opportunities. Provide detailed analysis of competitor offerings, messaging, and market positioning to guide product management decisions and strategic planning.
  • Deliver comprehensive analysis of competitor offerings, messaging, and market positioning. Utilize analyses to inform strategic decisions and alignment.
  • Monitor competitor activities for emerging trends, threats, and opportunities. Analyze and draw insights to inform product strategy, sales, and competitive positioning.


About You:

  • 3+ years as a Competitive Intelligence Practitioner, Product Manager, or Product Marketing Manager.
  • 6+ years of experience as a user of Endpoint Management and Cybersecurity solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in IT management, recognized for discerning the business impacts of tools and features, advocating for superior solutions.
  • Proficient in tracking competitor activity, pricing, messaging, and product roadmaps to inform strategic decisions.
  • Skilled in crafting actionable competitive intelligence materials for sales and marketing teams, ensuring alignment with product management and marketing.
  • Expertise in analyzing data to identify product gaps, opportunities, and competitive advantages.
  • Renowned for monitoring competitor trends and enhancing product strategy and sales tactics.
  • Effective communication skills, conveying insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excel in evaluating and selecting diverse IT management tools.
  • Thrive in hyper-growth B2B SaaS tech startup environments.
  • Strong organizational and program management skills.
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and willing to dive into hands-on tasks.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in competitive intelligence, prioritizing confidentiality and integrity.

Additional Information
Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $00,000 to $00,000 per year.
