We are looking for a high energy, passionate, and results-oriented Human Resources (HR) and Talent manager. This person will be responsible for the development and implementation of all Human Resources strategies including performance management, employee relations, recruiting, benefits, training and development, performance reviews, and HR compliance.

Primary Functions: Develop appropriate Human Resources strategies in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment. Develop or implement appropriate changes to management plans as required.

Workforce Strategy: Work closely with executive leadership to define our workforce strategy aligned to the company’s mission, vision, and goals. Help create an environment to continuously foster the right culture critical to our success. In doing so, serve as a strong “people” manager to align, develop and manage talent across the company and all functions

Recruiting and On-boarding: Align recruiting and talent search with the company workforce strategy. Identify and aggressively recruit talent, both college and experienced for core skills necessary for the growth and scale of the company. Conduct reference, background, and credit checks, including the gathering of data related to applicant background checks.

Benefits: Oversee all health and wellness programs, managing annual health insurance renewal and open enrollment process. Review and analyze master contracts, benefit summaries and booklets with respect to plan design and ensure state, federal and local compliance requirements affecting employee benefit plans. Manage all leave of absences with a clear understanding of FMLA/ CFRA.

Compliance: Update Employee Handbook periodically. Advise management and employees on the interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; guide management in performance management and general HR issues. Participate in any applicable unemployment, wage/ hour and EEOC hearings. Work closely with Accounting, payroll vendor, and government agencies to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy.

Operational: Attend staff meetings of key leadership team members. Conduct ongoing reviews of organizational design and proposes changes to enhance operations and meet operating plan commitments in high growth environment. Manage HR staff.

Experience:

Required and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • 5 Years experience in an HR Generalist/ Management role
  • Experience working for a growth stage company in technology
  • Strong understanding of all Federal, State, and Local employment laws
  • Thorough knowledge of compensation and benefits policies and practices
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong ability to handle a variety of sensitive employee relations matters
  • Strong business acumen to provide useful and strategic advice and input across the company
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment of constant change and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent follow through skills and the ability to anticipate and address business needs proactively
  • Possess strong work ethic; self-motivated with a desire to take initiative and look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies
