About the Role:

RetailMeNot Inc., is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our People team. Our ideal candidate is someone with extensive HR experience who will contribute at both a strategic and hands-on level to develop and deliver talent strategies that support business objectives.

In this role, you will lead all People initiatives and activities with your assigned business groups. You will develop and maintain effective business partnerships and serve as a consultant in all people-related areas. You will actively partner with clients at all levels of the organization.  This position in located in sunny Austin, Texas and reports to the Global Director of People.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead in the planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of the company’s People initiatives to support current and future business needs across all client groups.  This includes, but is not limited to:
    • performance management; partner with management to define and develop appropriate metrics to drive the business,  establish team & individual performance goals and guide decision-making related to incentives, org structure, attrition, promotions, succession planning, and other performance management- related activities
    • compensation planning; partner with total rewards and finance teams to ensure compensation and incentive recommendations are competitive enough to attract and reward talent appropriately and aligned to company budgets
    • retention and engagement; conduct employee surveys to understand key drivers of engagement & retention; develop appropriate actions plans in collaboration with business leaders
    • organization design & development; develop people strategies and organization design approaches which will enhance organizational effectiveness; ensure development programs and plans are aligned to business strategies and ensure talent “pipeline” required for future growth while providing individual career development opportunities
    • employee relations; provide coaching, guidance and advice to management and employees on ER issues; ensure effective communication within assigned customer groups; ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws in the state(s) in which the People Partner oversees employee activities and ensure guidance provided is aligned to RMNs values at all times
    • HRIS (Workday); ensure 100% data accuracy and timely completion of all transactions.  Assist customer groups with SaaS functionality and proficiency.  Leverage system to provide timely, insightful data to guide decision making
  • Creative problem solver; provide proactive solutions to help business leaders effectively manage their teams
  • Leverage proficiency in communication, influencing, coaching, consulting and change management to drive excellence in HR service delivery
  • Effectively manage organization-wide plans that impact multiple business units and functions globally
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, practices  and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity (utilization) and development of people within the company

 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years at HR Business Partner level with expertise in OD, change management and leadership development. (HRBP, Generalist and/or consulting background preferred)
  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement and driven to exceed client expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data, using HRIS systems for reporting (preferably Workday)
  • Experience leading in a fast-paced environment (preferably in a technology or high-tech organization), partnering with senior business leaders
  • Strong business acumen; able to translate business strategy into HR initiatives
  • People focused with exceptional written & verbal communication skills  and demonstrated influencing skills
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills; proven ability to deliver on commitments
  • Effective project management skills
  • Operates with complete discretion and confidentiality and with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Able to work effectively in an open, highly energetic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with people outside of the reporting relationship,  and to achieve results through cross-functional / cross-organizational team
  • Confident and proactive employee relations focus, coupled with ability to mediate and establish consensus when necessary
  • Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and geographies throughout the organization and cross-functionally as well as support clients in multiple locations with travel as required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint utilities)
  • Passion for technology, e-commerce & leading workforce trends
  • Enjoys and is able to work effectively in an open, casual, fun and flexible environment
