Summary:

Procore has an exciting opportunity for a People Services Specialist to oversee the Human Resource (HR) functions for our Texas, Minnesota, and New York sites. In this role you will support Procore’s business objectives by assisting with the development and implementation of HR activities with an emphasis on employee relations, training, coaching, and compliance. The People Services Specialist will work closely with the People Department in Carpinteria, CA to continue to create and maintain a culture that is open and collaborative.

This position is based in our Austin, TX offices located at the heart of downtown. We’re looking for candidates to join us immediately. Travel is required (25%) to other Procore offices. 

Successful Candidates will have/be:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% 
  • Knowledge and understanding of employee benefit plans and leave administration, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA and Workers’ Compensation
  • Experience delivering training programs for employees and managers
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters appropriately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Ability to interact effectively and courteously with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong sense of team building and a desire to help build a dynamic, unique organization
  • Ability use/learn all Procore tools, including Google apps, BambooHR, 7Geese, Slack, MS excel, etc.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Through a deep understanding of the values and culture, responsible for onboarding, retention, employee relations, employee training and development, and HR compliance
  • Acts as primary HR support to managers and employees in the areas of performance counseling, employee relations, onboarding, retention, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution 
  • Conducts management and employee training courses as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation in order to ensure compliance
  • Handle workers’ compensation claims
  • Attend local HR meetings in order to network and establish professional relationships in the community

Procore Austin is the second largest of our offices, occupying six floors in the Chase Tower at the center of downtown Austin.
