We're hiring for a Principal UI Software Engineer to be a key member of the Traveler Home team, building world class intuitive UIs built for velocity and scale on top of our service-oriented architecture in order to assist our travelers book the ideal vacation experience as they visit the HomeAway family of websites.  
As the leading vacation rental website in the world, we have more than 1.2 million properties listed in over 190 countries. We have over one billion visitors per year and serve more than one billion page views per month. At HomeAway we bring millions of families together with a whole house vacation rental experience.

Challenges include developing and evolving our JavaScript single page applications while consolidating the look and feel across the various HomeAway brand sites. This is an opportunity to work on a world class team and contributing significantly to the future stack for HomeAway’s B2C traveler facing websites.

You are:- Senior with over 8 years of experience developing highly available enterprise web applications with state of the art front end web technologies
- An analytical problem solver that is passionate about delivering a high quality user experience
- Dedicated to delivering tested and optimized high performance code (our stack satisfies 10s of thousands of requests per second!)
- Familiar with all aspects of software development

You are an expert in:- All things JavaScript and JS MV* frameworks like Backbone.js, Angular and/or Ember
- ES6 Commonjs modules and/or The AMD model (Require.js)
- HTML5, CSS3 and Less/SASS
- JS task runners Grunt, Gulp, etc.
- Client side templating with Lodash/Underscore, Mustache and Handlebars

Bonus points for:- Node, React, Flux/Redux, Express, NPM, Gulp, Webpack, Yeoman, Babel ES6/ES7
- Committing to open sources projects, participating in conferences
- Comfort with Service Oriented Java applications
- Vehment about automated testing
- Experience with modern VCS and build tools
