The Opportunity:

HomeAway University (HAU) is a unique program for interns/recent graduates entering our engineering organization. HAU provides training to new engineering hires, helps build a valuable personal network for new grads, and ensures that HomeAway gets the right people on the right projects with minimal disruption to existing development processes and teams. 

With unprecedented growth ahead of us, we are looking for a creative thinker who can scale our HAU program. We want a visionary with passion for building best in class programs, a deep understanding of technical subject matter, a track record for building outstanding relationships with key stakeholders, and an excellent communicator who can articulate our vision, mission and culture. A love of travel is helpful too, since HomeAway operates within the travel industry, and this position requires travel to university campuses during recruiting season. Responsibilities:

- Manage the HomeAway University program, end-to-end, including all logistical aspects: 

- Work with senior staff in the Engineering organization to identify program leads, presenters, and mentors;- Assist with development and review of curriculum, including technical content, in-class exercises, and hands-on projects;

- Build a calendar of events, plan and manage executive team presentations, Fun Friday events, etc.;

- Plan and manage resources, including room scheduling, audio recordings, publication of course content in our LMS, etc.

- Build a community within HomeAway that actively supports and builds the identity of the program.

- Execute well-planned and comprehensive onboarding and induction for all new recent graduate hires at multiple times in the calendar year.

- Develop and communicate metrics and survey results to senior stakeholders regarding program outcomes.

- Use data and feedback to assess and continuously test new ways of improving the program.

- Strategically partner with key business stakeholders to forecast university talent hiring needs and commitments.

- Collaborate with our talented recruiting team at a strategic level, and attend on-campus recruiting events (including interview days), hackathons, career fairs and other events as needed.


Requirements:

- 4-5 years of combined experience in program/project management, and/or experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Project Manager, or Product Manager. 

- Proven success in designing and developing successful talent onboarding programs within a corporate environment; technology/e-Commerce area preferred.

- Technical background and/or proficiency in industry-standard coding languages, frameworks, and practices.

- Motivated, self-driven, flexible, and detail-oriented, with excellent project management and communication skills.

- Ability to communicate persuasively, build strong-relationships, and collaborate with key stakeholders and peers.

- Familiarity with technical recruiting and/or university recruiting a plus.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related area, or equivalent industry experience.
