The Opportunity

HomeAway is looking for a strong marketer that is both passionate about the travel space and experienced driving marketing campaigns in North America. This role will help build and engage our growing base of vacation rental homeowners and suppliers in the local market. 

Our suppliers and owners are a core to our business and we are eager to find new ways to connect with them and enhance our relationships. We will look to you to explore, pilot and scale for growth new partnerships and tactics that lend themselves to this goal. You manage a team of marketing specialists and work side by side with the regional business counter parts to achieve the common revenue goals of the region as well as with global counterparts to ensure successful execution at a local level.


Responsibilities

- Develop and execute local lead generation initiatives and destination campaigns or events to drive supply of vacation rentals on the HomeAway platforms.

- Manage communications calendar and issues such as local and regional regulations that impact the vacation rental community and business.

- Explore new pilot programs and break through opportunities to promote the HomeAway value proposition for home owners and property managers.

- Manage and grow the supplier/owner marketing team for North America to be best in class for local execution and strategic marketing planning. 

- Create co-promotion opportunities with tourism boards, local PMs, owner focused partners.

Requirements

- 8+ years of product marketing or consumer marketing planning and execution.

- 5+ years experience in B2B2C or B2B marketing strategy including experience in direct response or lead generation marketing and outreach.

- Local market expert with a passion for reaching people in new and unique ways and new channels.

- Experience in guerrilla marketing, influencer strategy and digital marketing/social media trends.

- Ability to leverage partnerships and propose co-promotional offers and be a champion of the brand and HomeAway platform.

- Online and eCommerce experience is a plus.

- Ability to work successfully with cross functional groups such as sales, customer service, and product marketing to execute marketing strategies.

- Ability to inspire and motivate others, direct reports or otherwise, to consistently meet tight deadlines.

- Flexible & confident in a fast-paced work environment.

- Strong analytical and communication skills.

- Strong project management skills and detail orientation.
