What You'll Do:
If you're the right person for the job, you'll be joining the growing DevTools team within HomeAway's ever-expanding Development Infrastructure environment where you'll drive HomeAway's culture of engineering empowerment. You'll optimize product delivery by automating the entire software delivery pipeline and by building the tools necessary to enable horizontal scaling, provisioning, graphing, monitoring, and rapid deployment on our bare-metal, public, and private cloud environments.

As a member of the DevTools team, you'll be driving HomeAway's engineering culture by building, evangelizing, and supporting the continuous delivery pipelines, tools and services used by HomeAway software engineers worldwide. Responsibilities:
- Design, Build and Maintain an excellent software delivery platform, including its infrastructure and tooling
- Prototype, architect, and implement platform updates and new features
- Support and train HomeAway developers' use of the platform
- Produce high-quality technical documentation for internal and external consumption
- Work with our internal business partners and customers to gather requirements
- Perform peer reviews and code walkthroughs
Requirements:
- Development experience with Java Web Applications, Service-Oriented Architecture, and Micro-Services
- Hands-on experience with at least one continuous integration platform (Jenkins, TeamCity, CircleCI, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-start and work independently on technical projects
- Ability to work collaboratively through an agile development process that promotes constant team communication
Additional Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud-computing platform (Mesos, AWS, Azure, VMWare, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with system administration & configuration tool(s) (Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with logging/eventing platform(s) (Splunk, Kafka, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Hands-on Experience with node.js and/or JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular, etc.)
- Familiarity with the Ruby, Go, or Scala languages
- Having committed to open-source projects - provide a GitHub/GitLab/BitBucket/etc link if appropriate
