QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering

- Minimum 2 years professional development experience with Java-based web applications

-Demonstrated knowledge and experience with modern JVM technologies including: Java 8, Spring, Jersey, MyBatis, Maven, and Gradle; experience with a continuous delivery pipeline including Jenkins and TeamCity and distributed SCM tools including git and mercurial; experience with the front-end technologies: JS, Backbone, React, CSS, Bootstrap; and experience in the Payments, E-commerce, or Travel industry. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

Work with the e-commerce team to develop scalable, tested, and fault-tolerant applications for a distributed SOA environment. Create and maintain quality software using the best tools like Github, Splunk, New Relic, Sonar, and TeamCity. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to develop beautiful APIs, participate in peer code reviews, and be well versed in all aspects of the SDLC and Agile processes. A Senior Software Engineer should be a team player that thrives in a minimally supervised environment and finds creative solutions to challenging problems. In this position, the Senior Software Engineer has the unique ability to leverage HomeAway’s highly distributed SOA architecture, in order to work at scale on applications and services that will be used by thousands of owners to manage an inventory of 1 million plus listings.
