We are seeking a highly skilled and technical manager to lead and elevate a group of technical contributors of test engineers and analysts. The ideal candidate is an aviation enthusiast or pilot, has a deep understanding of the software development life cycle, and has experience either as an accomplished test engineer or managing technical contributors. Proficiency in software quality assurance and various testing methodologies is a must.
As the Test Engineering Manager, you will be entrusted with assembling and guiding a team to strategize, execute, and deliver precise test results across diverse engineering disciplines. This includes thorough testing of client and server applications, cloud infrastructure, and database validation. Your role will extend to the analysis of technical test plans, allowing you to identify and address gaps in coverage effectively. Moreover, you will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights into relevant technical issues within their business areas. To foster a culture of continuous improvement and development, you will initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels, ensuring the growth and success of both the team and individual contributors. Required Skills:

• Proficiency in software quality assurance methodologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams
• Experience using any of the following:
  • Test Case Management Tools
  • Version Control Systems such as Git
  • Technology suites including proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software tools
  • Atlassian products including Confluence and JIRA

Desired Skills:

• Certificated pilot or aviation experience is a plus
• Deep working knowledge of ForeFlight and its application ecosystem
• Proficiency in presenting technical information clearly and persuasively to various audiences
