The Role

Business Intelligence Analyst II Job Description
The IMS Data Science Team mission is to maintain marketplace leadership in car buying and expand our marketplace and vehicle services capabilities into ownership and next life. As part of this mission, we are continuously improving our product offering to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Enterprise dealer groups need better tools and richer insights to understand both rooftop and personnel performance. The IMS Data Science Team is working to enrich our current product offerings with new business intelligence utilities to address this underserved need.
The Business Intelligence Analyst II will be an integral part of the IMS Data Science Team mission by acquiring, synthesizing, and organizing business data from internal and external sources to create actionable insights in the form of automated reporting and visualization tools. Reports and visualizations should communicate a clear and concise story that provides immediate intelligence rather than data dumps requiring additional mining.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of relational databases and a mastery of SQL. The candidate should also be a subject matter expert on the datasets backing the Cox Automotive inventory management applications. We strongly encourage candidates to have experience with Logi and MicroStrategy software. Experience with CSS and HTML is a plus.
Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with allied / supported functions and commercial teams to understand business priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Applies accepted methods and tools to identify, gather, develop, and analyze appropriate datasets.
  • Produces business intelligence by querying data repositories and generating reports.
  • Works with engineering teams to integrate business intelligence tools vAuto platform
  • Works on standard, recurring and ad-hoc projects and analyses.
  • Assists in the development and enhancement of data pipelines, workflows, and queries.
  • Manages the flow of information including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or software engineering.
  • Strong SQL programming skills are required.
  • Strong CSS and HTML programming skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work relational databases, preferably Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated ability to build automated dashboards from developing raw data to presenting insights with a business intelligence tool. Experience with MicroStrategy or Logi Analytics is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally to ensure proper customer goals are achieved.
  • Aptitude for identifying and solving data issues, ensuring data integrity, and an aptitude for addressing customer needs.


USD 77,800.00 - 116,700.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,700.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
