Position Overview:
This position will report to the Photography & Video Manager on the Creative Services team and will oversee all production needs for both internal and external productions. This position will help manage our internal photography studio where we shoot product, lifestyle imagery and on-figure photography. This position will also help coordinate and schedule all logistics involved in offsite shoots including both local and campaign photoshoots.
Responsibilities:
Internal Photography Studio Management
• Manage weekly and daily workload and deadlines for in-house photographers.
• Maintain an orderly studio including sample organization, prop storage and set clean up.
• Responsible for ordering props and returning them as needed.
• Creates day-of production schedules for shoots including arrival time, shot list, lunch time and wrap times, and keeps crew on schedule as day flows.
• Able to incorporate last minute requests and work with Photography & Video Manager to accommodate shifting priorities in shoot schedules as needed.
Local Offsite Shoots
• Books all travel for external vendors (photographer, videographer, stylists, hair and makeup artists and models) for offsite Austin shoots including air travel and hotels.
• Books photo studio and equipment rentals for all offsite Austin shoots.
• Oversees catering for all offsite Austin shoots.
• Attends shoots as needed to act as a Production Assistant on set.
Campaign Shoots
• Books all travel for internal employees and external vendors for campaign shoots including air travel, hotels, rental cars and reservations.
• Communicates with external vendors to coordinate equipment rental as needed.
• Works with external Producer as needed on reservations and location booking.
• Attends shoots as needed to act as a Production Assistant on set which may include driving crew, bringing food and water to set, prop returns, setting up and breaking down set, transporting the jewelry to the shoots, organizing the jewelry samples.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years’ experience as a production assistant for a high-growth company
• A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery
• A strong desire to build relationship with co-workers and keep others informed
• A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow and embrace new ideas
• Strong comprehension of Excel, and comparable Office programs.
• An organized and driven disposition to work hard and go beyond.
• Some interest in the creative field helpful but not necessary.
