UX / Technical Writer

Are you looking for a role where you get to transform and create products? We are seeking a capable and talented writer — a problem solver at heart — to help us transform our product and create a best-in-class experience for our users.

As a UX / Technical Writer for the Product Team, you will drive cohesion across our product and materials. You will define and shape experiences and materials that guide and inspire people to make markets safer for all. You’ll join as a team member within our UX department, creating succinct experiences that clarify complexity.

This person will report to the Director of UX. Please include at least one piece of sample material or an online portfolio, in addition to your resume.

  • Apply UX practices to our help center
  • Create, publish and maintain our resource center
  • Help conduct user research and analyze usage data on our resource center
  • Drive consistent vision for language and content across product or subject-matter domain.
  • Own projects from ideation to completion, identify opportunities, and build/publish succinct usable modern documentation.
  • Collaborate with designers, subject matter experts, legal, marketing, product managers, and engineers while influencing and adapting to stakeholders and their feedback.
  • Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources
  • Write, edit, review and proof technical information, including release notes and in-depth guides for both technical and non-technical users
  • Publish and maintain templates for written documentation, ensuring a consistent ‘look and feel’, and build a library of standard responses to common questions, e.g, for RFPs, security reviews, etc

Minimum qualifications:
  • you have experience in preparing, reviewing and maintaining technical documents, specifically client-facing user documentation
  • you have 2+ years of experience within a technical writer role or UX writer position
  • you have experience working in a technology organization, ideally within enterprise SaaS/Cloud products and services
  • you have worked across business and technology teams and have had to adapt your communication style based on the target audience
  • you are a dynamic individual who can challenge the norm whilst communicating and collaborating across teams to ensure combined success
  • you have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • you are a self-starter who can work effectively remotely

Preferred qualifications
  • Have experience in selecting and using appropriate tools for authoring and publishing end-user documentation whilst also monitoring usage
  • Rudimentary experience with HTML/CSS (preferable but not essential)
  • Experience within financial services (preferable but not essential)
  • Experience establishing frameworks, content patterns, voice and tone guidelines, information architecture, and content hierarchy.
  • Experience working alongside designers
  • Experience driving projects from incomplete information to completion
