We are currently seeking a highly driven GIS Administrator to join our Data Engineering team in Austin, TX or Denver, CO. Performance Objectives
- Implements, manages and maintains GIS software, applications and infrastructure for the Enverus SaaS ESRI ArcServer implementation running production, pre-production and development environments
- Implements, manages and maintains GIS software, applications and infrastructure to support Enverus GIS application developers, analysts and publishers
- Manages the installation, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting of spatial databases, software, user applications and hardware
- Expands, tests and executes upgrades involving GIS products, web publishing strategies and system architectures; Assures spatial system quality and security
- Tunes Enverus GIS applications and products to ensure performance requirements are met; Develops and manages failover and recover operations for spatial systems; designs, documents and implements spatial system administration procedures
- Provides support for GIS products and applications to customers and application developers
- Manages the installation of Enverus GIS server and desktop licenses
- Provides technical insight and recommendations for GIS applications, projects and architecture
Competitive Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering or related field
- Advanced knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and relational databases and mapping and cartographic principles
- 5 years ESRI administration experience; specific experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, Portal and ArcGIS Enterprise
- DBA experience with either Microsoft SQL Server or Postgres RDBMS
- Deploying and managing SAFE Software FME
- Linux and Windows system administration
- AWS “cloud” experience – specifically managing and administration for ESRI deployments
- Experience with “infrastructure as code” tooling such as AWS CloudFormation, Hashicorp Terraform or Chef
- Docker containerization experience
- Python programming with Arc.py
