SafeLease enables commercial real estate owners to maximize the value of their assets. We are expanding on the early success of our tenant insurance product by building a next-gen platform that unlocks new revenue channels, optimizes data-driven pricing models, and automates revenue collection.

 

As the Data Architect, and first data engineering hire, you will be responsible for building data pipelines and systems to support SafeLease’s core product. analyzing and interpreting data related to our core product. You will work closely with the CEO and the core product team to use the resulting data to drive business decisions at the highest level. 

What You'll Do

 

  • Design and build data pipelines and systems
  • Own SafeLease’s data warehouse management; create strong processes to standardize and cleanse data from our customers
  • Provide continuous data analysis, interpreting and explaining the logic behind all architectural decisions
  • Observe current processes and investigate new data sources and analysis methods to streamline SafeLease’s ability to gather and interpret data across products
  • Collaborate with engineering and the executive team to ensure that data initiatives align with business needs
  • Define and and develop data engineering standards, policies, and best practices 

About You

  • 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer or Architect for SaaS products, experience with BI products a plus
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field required
  • Strong technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • Strong experience with SQL (postgres) & AWS
  • Experience scalable data warehouses, preferably Snowflake
  • Great numerical and analytical skills
