Business Analyst - Entry
Q2 is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) who is passionate about making a difference within the fintech industry. Working within a multi-disciplinary Product Team, the BA will work across product and engineering teams along with Q2 customers to define product and integration requirements to core systems, and other key product features that are strategic to the platform.
As a market leader in the digital banking space, the Q2 core platform back office product team is responsible for providing all Financial Institution employees with unrivaled technology and insights to support and grow their business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with a Product Owner and multi-disciplinary Product Team to define product roadmap.
Use JIRA as a tool to manage product backlog alongside Product Owner and product team.
Utilize Agile scrum methodology and work with development team on sprint planning and backlog refinement meetings.
Document clear user stories, design and development requirements, and acceptance criteria in JIRA. Analyze business rules to groom development tickets based on design prototypes.
Create and manage functional requirement documents for in house development of software applications.
Refine product backlog, and advocate for end-user and business needs.
Coordinate with QA testing to ensure development is consistent with business requests.
Engage with stakeholders to seek clarification and reproduce issues to support a timely and appropriate prioritization.
Facilitate effective communication between business and engineering teams to get issues resolved and monitor overall health of the back office products.
Responsible for the on-schedule delivery of new features, bug fixes, and improvements for back office tools.
Generate reports, perform detailed research and analysis, and assist with solution development that align with the product vision.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
1+ years in software Product Management or as a Product Owner or Business Analyst
Knowledge of software product development lifecycle
Ability to break down high-level features into tactical user-stories and assign and track them across multiple organizations
Outstanding problem solving and analytical abilities
Comfortable working with remote Business/Leadership/Engineering teams
Understanding of product design, dependencies, and tradeoffs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Agile scrum methodology
Desire to work with highly scalable enterprise software
