Ascension is hiring a Business Analyst to join our growing team! This person will be responsible for business and financial analysis and control deliverables associated with the management of information technology implementations and operations.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor use of financial resources by maintaining forecast and actual costs
• Perform financial analysis identifying gaps in financials, developing recommendations and reporting
• Review invoices as part of monitoring financials to ensure invoices are accurate
• Assist with the setup and review of Purchase Orders
• Create a maintainable structure for the reporting of forecast and actual financials including the support for project accounting vs corporate accounting
• Serve as a liaison with corporate finance and accounting on financial details
• Develop documentation for the creation of Capital Assets
• Reviewing contracts and interpret financial setup and structure for management and monitoring
• Participate in the project intake process by evaluating of financial aspects and coordinating the overall process
• Work with internal systems (ex. ServiceNow, Float, etc), internal teams (ex. DDG, finance) and vendors (ex. Slalom, Brooksource, TEK Systems) to communicate and coordinate mechanisms used for financial management (ex. Invoices, Purchase Orders)
• Work with and support Domain / Product Leadership on aspects of financial management, monitoring, analysis and reporting
• Generate standard monthly financial reports
• Generate other ad hoc financial reporting requests as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Complexity of Work:

• The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Collaboration with multiple cross-functional team members and stakeholders at varying organizational levels requires excellent communication skills.
• Understand financial processes and the coordination between project accounting and organizational accounting to deliver an accurate picture of the program's financial state

What You Will Need
Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:
• 1 year of experience required.• 4 years of experience preferred.• 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences

• 5 years experience in program management, program administration, financial analysis or project accounting required
• Experience in contracting preferred
• Advanced, 5+ years, experience in working with spreadsheets, either Excel or Google Sheets
