As a Data Engineer, you will guide partners on how to review, process, maintain, analyze and visualize data sets. You will work directly with system owners across a variety of data sources related to customer acquisition and retention. You will design and implement data pipelines from these sources with an emphasis on reliability, curation and documentation. You will present results and recommendations to technical, non-technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and solve business problems using data and a set of Big Data technologies including BigQuery, Looker, Google Cloud Platform, Docker and dbt.
• Collaborate with marketing leadership, engineers, product managers, and other partners to understand data needs and represent key data insights visually in a meaningful way.
• Build data expertise and demonstrate data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operations for allocated areas of ownership.
• Design, build and launch new data models and visualizations in production, demonstrating common development toolkits.
• Independently design, build, launch and maintain new data extraction, transformation and loading processes in production.
• Support existing processes running in production and implement optimized solutions with limited guidance.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in allocated areas of ownership.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in custom ETL/ELT design, implementation and maintenance.
• Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience analyzing data to identify results, gaps and inconsistencies.
• Experience managing and presenting data warehouse plans to a non-technical audience.
• BS/BA in Technical Field, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Experience writing software in Python and SQL.
• Experience with customer acquisition and retention funnels are a plus.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus.
