JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a driven-data analyst that takes pride in creating visually-pleasing and meaningful dashboards. You will have the opportunity to work with unique data sets and our data science subject matter expert (SME) to design industry-leading collection activities for the visualization of human risk metrics. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and passionate about clean, efficient data visualization. This position could begin as a remote, fractional-to-hire position with the potential to become a full-time position.

Who you are…

  • Strong background in data visualization and scorecard design, implementation and maintenance required

  • Basic understanding of statistics

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Critical thinker with the ability to work autonomously as seamlessly as they work in a team

  • 2+ years of experience as a Tableau developer or working directly with Tableau including troubleshooting

  • Ability to develop and automate data streams and push/pull analytics

  • Ability to design and integrate workbooks and worksheets into visually appealing and quantitatively meaningful dashboards, graphs, click through analytics and visual metaphors

  • User-centric focus on driving toward actionable insights

  • Adherence and documentation of data management regulations and policies.

  • May be asked to mentor/train junior Tableau and data visualization developers

  • Develop consistent, repeatable, data processes that ensure consistency across the entire org

  • Perform detailed data analysis from a variety of source systems

  • Work with the data architect, systems analyst and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the data and align this with the data visualization requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Robust SQL skills (window functions, normalization, procedures, validation)

  • Familiarity with data warehouse development

  • Experience gathering requirements that identify root cause analysis

  • Some experience with R or Python, especially using open-source visualization tools (i.e. Shiny, D3, Bokeh)

  • Some experience with Machine Learning

  • Extensive knowledge of research and analysis for a business setting
