What Your Days Will Be Like: 

We are seeking a leader to join our data function in leading our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate has a technology background and a passion for quality decision making. They understand that strong analytics is fundamental for a company culture of data-driven decision making. We’d love to talk to you if you have a background leading team members in building analytics solutions that drive decision making. This role requires hands-on leadership and close partnership with our data warehouse, engineering, and product teams. Our data tech stack includes Tableau, Snowflake, Vertica, and Greenplum.

The Director of Business Intelligence will lead business intelligence team members working across the company to build actionable insights and measure and monitor the health of the business. You will engage directly with senior business leaders and partner with other data leaders, product, and engineering team members in our constantly evolving, high-growth company.

The ideal candidate has a passion for leading analytics teams at a top tier company, strong communication skills, and displays thought leadership. S/he will demonstrate strong business judgment and be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Working On: 

• Manage a global team of matrixed business intelligence analysts (total team size: ~20 people including managers) working on cross functional projects across the company
• Promote a single definition of truth across your teams’ deliverables
• Engage with senior leaders across the company on business priorities, strategies, and issues
• Continually improve team output and velocity through applying best practices in business intelligence and team management
• Help drive prioritization when competing workloads arise
• Contribute to the establishment of Data Governance with other data leaders
• Ensure team has appropriate monitoring and communication for changes or issues with business imperative reports and dashboards
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies where appropriate
• Ensure the team is incorporating best practices for security, performance, and data privacy into deliverables

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• 8+ years leading Business Intelligence teams
• Hands on approach and management style
• 10+ years working in data and analytics
• Familiarity with data governance
• Analytical and conceptual abilities and a problem-solving attitude
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members at a different level of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to maintain performance level in a fast-paced agile environment with changing priorities and deadlines
• Pragmatic and realistic with solutions
• Snowflake experience is a plus
• Tableau knowledge is a plus
• Experience at a high-growth start-up is a plus
