HR Data Analyst
Q2 is seeking an HR Data Analyst who will help HR and Q2 leadership make data-driven decisions to drive the continued success of the business. As the HR Analyst, you will work closely with various HR team members and other business functions to understand business objectives, gather data, and develop and execute accurate and actionable reports. In this new role to Q2, you will work closely with senior leaders within and outside of HR to determine leading and lagging indicators for key people success metrics and track those with meaningful metrics and methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns with HR data sets and make recommendations for business and process improvement
- Handle complex requests, data visualizations, forecasting, regression modeling, sequencing and trend analysis
- Develops reports and dashboards using various reporting and visualization tools to meet business needs
- Present to senior leadership on findings and deliver actionable insights
- Ensure data integrity and recommend solutions where problems arise
- Work in cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities
- Work autonomously on projects and without explicit direction at times
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or another field that uses relevant quantitative analysis
- 5 - 8 years of relevant analytics experience ideally coming from HR or a high-growth company
- Knowledge of HR functions and practices strongly desired
- Expert level MS Excel skills needed
- PowerBI experience strongly desired
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA or other programming languages a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
- A strong team player who is self-driven and uses logic/critical thinking skills to solve problems
- Ability to visualize data (e.g. tables, charts, etc.) in a manner that helps the end user quickly and accurately understand and execute on its results
- Intellectual curiosity and capability, as well as ability to conceptualize data into meaningful story and conclusions that allow leaders to take action
