INVENTORY CONTROL LEAD – DISTRIBUTION CENTER – AUSTIN, TEXAS

Position Overview:
The Inventory Control Lead is a vital part of the supply-chain process. Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Lead’s main priority is to ensure that the physical inventory remains accurate. The Inventory Control Lead will plan execute daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. The IC lead will also work cross functionally with Fulfillment teams to audit outbound orders. Additionally, the Inventory control lead will work to identify new opportunities for process improvements based on cycle count and audit results. Responsibilities:
Leadership
• Creates and maintains a positive environment and encourages growth and development
• Schedules and allocates warehouse personnel based on daily needs
• Communicates daily expectations to the Floor Assistant and follows up to ensure completion
• Enforces company and departmental policies and verifies consistent application
• Manages all aspects of employee performance, including establishment of objectives,
performance reviews, professional development, and progressive disciplinary process as needed
• Fields general employee inquiries
Process Management
• Manages cycle count process from start to finish by creating cycle count schedules, verifying results, researching variances and providing information on any reoccurring variances
• Utilizes WMS reports to ensure productivity metrics are met
• Identifies ongoing opportunities for improvement and communicates to management
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work with the fulfilment team to organize daily outbound audit workload
• Partner with Inventory Control Analyst to review cycle count and audit results and identify opportunities for improvement and training
• Facilitate efficient inventory operations through cross-functional process improvements to support quality, productivity, and cost goals
• Encourages communication and teamwork among associates
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
• 2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in the distribution, retail, or service industries
• College degree or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent computer skills including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with fulfillment software and WMS is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coach employees with a tactful and motivating approach
• Performance analysis and problem solving capabilities
• Superior self-starting and organizational skills
• Positive attitude that is contagious to others
• Ability to multi-task effectively while demonstrating strong time management skills
• Experience in a fast-paced environment where priorities change on a regular basis

• Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds; stand/walk for duration of shift
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Work Location:
This full-time position located at our Austin, TX Distribution Center. Department hours are as directed by the Inbound Inventory Manager. Overtime, weekend, and holiday time may be required.
