OMS Business Analyst
Position Overview:
The OMS Business Analyst is part of the Applications team that supports a portfolio of enterprise-wide applications, integrations, testing and innovations.
The OMS Business Analyst preliminarily owns the application support of the Manhattan OMNI platform and its integrated solutions. They have a solid understanding of the OMS system functions and related business processes. They work across multiple departments, with the technology team, business stakeholders, implementation partners and application vendors to design, re-design and implement software solutions, support daily operations and improve business processes to ensure they meet existing and future business requirements.
Primary duties of this position include:
· Daily operational support
· Applications management activities
· Business process and systems analysis
· Support of enterprise programs and projects through all cycles of the SDLC
· Project management of small-medium application enhancement projects
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Work with application vendor(s) to manage and coordinate scheduled system maintenances, updates and patches
· Communicate the impact of system changes and/or downtimes and coordinates the required actions across the technology and business teams
· Review and analyze the efficiency of the existing OMS system and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging it
· Evaluate level of effort and articulate technical requirements; identify impact, risk and benefit of alternative solutions
· Regularly meet with decision makers and end users from the various business departments using the OMS (Supply Chain, eCommerce, Retail, Customer Service) to understand changing business needs
· Work with the business stakeholders to evaluate and continuously improve business processes
· Work with management and PMO on projects and programs as it relates to Manhattan OMNI and its integrations
· Support SDLC by consulting during the design process, gathering and documenting business requirements, technical requirements, data mapping, system setups and configurations, plan and execute regression, integration testing
· Manage small-medium application enhancement projects through SDLC
· Provide daily operational support as issues occur working with service desk and vendor(s)
· Provide end user training for all system modifications or new processes
· Provide ongoing training, mentoring and technical guidance to peer business analysts and the rest of the technology team as applicable
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
· Prior OMS experience is a must
· Knowledge of Manhattan Omni is strongly preferred
· eCommerce and/or Retail environment experience is a plus, but not required
· Demonstrated project management abilities and experienced in implementation of software solutions
· Worked with multiple, cross-functional business area managers and stakeholders and influenced resolution of conflicting objectives
· Has been in key leadership role in successfully delivering business process and system solutions
· Proven ability to mentor people
· Proven track record in meeting deadlines
· Background working on cloud-based solution and has vendor management experience
· Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to devise solutions to complex problems
· Excellent communication skills; Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization, across multiple cultures/geographies
· Collaborative and effective at building consensus across the organization
