Staff Quantitative Marketing Analyst

About the team and the role:
At Realtor.com we’re putting data science and analytics at the center of our marketing and advertising strategy. Don’t have a marketing background? No problem! With over 100M web visits you’ll use your ability to process and look at complex data to decide how we get our message of personalized choice to consumers effectively. Our quantitative marketing team creates and executes our advertising media strategy across TV, YouTube, Hulu, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, outdoor and much more. We’re looking for great analytical minds to lead the execution and optimization of marketing channels end to end. Our team looks at complex data from many vendor sources as well as first party data to test and measure the impact of our advertising. We get excited about designing media tests that could have a big impact on the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be the business leader for a specific marketing channel (TV, Google/YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and learn to be an ad platform expert over time
- Analyzing large data sets in Excel, SQL, Python or similar to actively monitor campaign performance and identify strategies to drive higher returns for the business
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards and models to drive key business decisions
- Share data insights and guidance with the brand creative team to ensure alignment with Realtor.com’s creative strategy
- Partner closely with our ad channel partners e.g. Google, Facebook, to leverage access to their product teams, engineers, and top tier services to help with our media strategies
- Design smart and statistically significant tests to determine best-in-class media strategies
- Regularly update Realtor.com senior executive team on marketing performance, opportunities, and testing strategy
- Embrace an agile self-starter attitude to tackle and solve new challenges on the quantitative marketing team with data
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Business Analyst or similar role using SQL and/or Python/R
- (preferred not required) Some marketing or business experience
- Quantitative background in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, engineering, or computer science with a strong academic record
- Fluency in SQL and Python/R for data manipulation, and validation
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and interest in solving problems, particularly using data to help answer somewhat nebulous questions
- Capable of clearly communicating complex analyses to a non-technical audience
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to change direction and meet deadlines
