The Research Analyst plays a key role on the Investment Research and Strategy team. In this front office role, the analyst will be required to analyze large quantities of real estate, demographic, and economic data to help produce insights into the real estate markets and drive investment decisions. The analyst will collaborate on both publicly distributed market commentaries and internally focused investment research.

A day in the life of a Research Analyst:

  • Data mining and analytical projects as assigned by the investment team, with the goal of identifying and optimizing real estate investment opportunities and trends in U.S. single-family housing.

  • Converting raw data into meaningful and actionable business ideas. Collaborate directly with the investment team utilizing data analysis to drive investments.

  • Utilize MS SQL Server for extraction and analysis of data from multiple sources with demonstrated ability to perform analysis, decipher, trend, and effectively report data gathered through technology

  • Leverage creative analytic problem-solving skills working with large data sets from a variety of internal and external sources to find real estate investment opportunities

  • Create professional management and investor presentations to effectively communicate findings and opportunities

What you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline with experience is required.

  • 1 -4 years’ experience analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations; consulting experience is a plus.

  • Quantitative/problem solving skills

  • Previous Experience in Real Estate a plus

  • SQL, Excel, Access, (Tableau, SAS or R preferred)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to meet established timelines.

  • Analytical mindset, fast-moving, entrepreneurial.
