Ascension is hiring a Value Manager to join our growing team! This position is full time remote.
The Value Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics supports a variety of internal customers, helping them solve business problems and manage value creation using data driven analysis and recommendations. The position leverages data to help Ascension Technologies measure operational performance and value outcomes including dashboard & report development, data improvement strategy, analysis of data trends, performance and cost metrics, and data access enablement.
What You Will Do
Specific responsibilities:

• Managing a team of business data analysts that use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest areas and methods of improving operations.
• Responsible for operationalizing the integration of business intelligence with business operations; solutioning (data mining, predictive analytics, applied analytics, statistics) analysis models and simulations to create scenarios to illustrate business impact and predict future states
• Advancing and maintaining current business intelligence platforms and tools (Apptio, Tableau, MSP provided reporting, Google sheets and Smartsheets).
• Understanding internal customer needs and requirements to drive development of new dashboards or reports to assess effort
• Understanding data components and collaborate with design team & stakeholders to outline milestones for execution and finalize a project plan
• Driving and tracking adoption of dashboards and reports to measure success; Iterate as needed
• Data creation leveraging multiple sources and detailed data validation to ensure directional accuracy
• Developing metrics to drive and measure strategic initiatives, service management, total cost of ownership and service adoption
• Providing data access enablement and data visualization support

What You Will Need
Education:
• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
• 3 years of experience required.• 5 years of experience preferred.• 1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.

Preferred skills:

• Strong project management skills with ability to drive a project from conception to completion
• Strategic thinking - Listening to and understanding customer needs; decisive and forward thinking
• Strong influencing skills - role requires cross-collaboration and ability to obtain support from various stakeholders
• Energetic and self-assertive - must be well organized and able to make proactive recommendations
• Comfortable working with data that is not clean & requires validation, making directional recommendations with incomplete information
• Experience with revenue/cost analysis, adoption metrics, market sizing, and opportunity analysis
• Comfort with fast-paced and rapidly evolving environments
• Effective multitasking capability
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills
• Advanced Presentation (PowerPoint/Google slides) skills
• Tableau experience a plus
