Role Description
Our Research & Design teams craft delightful experiences that make people's lives easier. We're a close-knit, collaborative group, guided by a highly iterative user-centered design process. Combining research, data, and thoughtful critique, we are discovering needs and solving fundamental problems that impact work and life for millions of people around the world.
As a member of our Central Research & Insights team, you will partner with a cross functional team to create a simple, easy to use, and best-in-class experience for our users across the Dropbox family of products, while identifying new areas of opportunity to create a more enlightened way of working. You’ll have the opportunity to influence product direction and address unmet customer needs in this exciting role.
Responsibilities
- Identify research needs in partnership with product teams
- Design, plan, and execute research that impacts product team immediate roadmaps and longer term strategies
- Implement multi-method research studies that incorporate both qual and quant methodologies
- Adapt research process and practices to the growing needs of the organization
- Advocate and guide strategy for design and product direction
- Collaborate closely with researchers, PMs, Design, Data Science, and Marketing to evaluate experiences
- Understand user needs and uncover product opportunities
- Socialize research in innovative and engaging ways
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX-related work experience
- Broad experience with a wide variety of research methods applied across the product development process
- Demonstrated skills for collaborating closely with other researchers, designers, product managers and engineers
- Clear, compelling presentation and communication style
- Experience driving and supporting rapid research in a scrappy environment
