What we’re looking for:
We’re hiring a Design Systems visionary who can lead, create, coordinate and build to drive quality and consistency, velocity, accessibility, aesthetic harmony and performant implementation.
In this role, you would work with and coordinate between Product, Front-end and Design teams. You would be responsible for crafting and implementing a vision that evolves and guides our Design Systems perspective that influences the design of our Product Portfolio.
We're looking for a Design Systems leader who believes in our mission of helping to make a better Internet and is excited about using emerging technologies and methodologies that can be used to help people.

Responsibilities:
- Create a unified, cohesive set of UX and visual guidelines for all of Cloudflare products
- Responsible for the components, libraries, patterns and documentation of our Product Design System.
- Maintain and improve a Design System contribution model to streamline the process of multiple autonomous product teams building components for one-off use cases, moving to systematized items.
- Can quickly iterate and communicate concepts at appropriate levels of fidelity, while managing and providing constructive critique.
- Plan strategically as a partner with engineering and product to define the future of design systems
- Continuously improve Design System processes, practice, and culture.
- Drive momentum around priorities with resilience and positivity.
- Ensure pertinent information is communicated and understood by partners and leadership.
- Help to maintain and improve cross-functional collaboration, relationships and processes around Design Systems
- Measure, improve, and align Design System impact metrics with company objectives and help communicate the value of the Design System on the business.
Requirements:
In addition to deep, applied knowledge of Design Systems, this role requires strong communication, facilitation, and organizational understanding.
- Human-focussed, highly-collaborative, critical and strategic thinker.
- Successful track record of creating and managing impactful design systems and processes.
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience, with 2+ years in building and maintaining design systems
- You have a body of work that highlights design systems you have created or largely contributed to
- Experience as a lead contributor to multiple high impact projects
