Internship Overview:
The Kendra Scott Summer Internship Program offers students an opportunity to gain exposure to the inner workings of our fast-growing, multi-category, fashion lifestyle brand. We value all of our interns and commit to providing a comprehensive learning experience that aligns with individual interests and career goals.
Basics:
• 10-week, paid experience in Austin, TX

Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a college graphic design student looking for an immersive summer internship where they will work with the Creative Services team within the Marketing Department. Reporting to our Digital Graphic Designer, the Digital Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for designing various marketing materials such as emails, social media content, web ads, gifs and other creative assets. This role combines the need for a creative mind to approach design in interesting ways and experience with the technical skills to take on such responsibilities that support the Marketing team.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the digital design team to manage projects and see them through from concept to completion
• Ensure that Kendra Scott standards of design quality and creativity are reflected consistently in all materials
• Design web, social, and email creative assets and prepare files for submission
• Research current trends and creative in digital marketing
• Assist photographers with in-house product styled photography
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• The ability to work 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm)
• Availability to work May 20- July 26, 2019. Consideration will be given for special life events with the exception of Internship Orientation (Monday, May 20th)
o Memorial Day & Fourth of July will be observed as company holidays
• A portfolio submission- candidates should either include a link to their online portfolio or combine their resume & portfolio into one PDF
• A solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop, composition and layout, color, typeface selection, and other design fundamentals
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
• An interest in jewelry is helpful and fashion experience is a plus
• The ability to demonstrate strong leadership among peers and across the organization
• A high level of accountability, reliability and initiative
