Tecovas is looking for a Digital Product Designer to pioneer the design vision and evolution of our digital products. Reporting directly to the Front End Engineering Manager, you will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Brand partners to discover and craft exceptional experiences for users of Tecovas’s eCommerce website, apps and custom software.

This position is based out of Austin, TX but will have the ability to work from home and in-office.

What you’ll do:

• Define the Digital Product’s design vision and strategy
• Drive user-centric design decisions mixing HCI principles with data and user research
• Establish user research and usability testing processes
• Use prototypes and user testing to validate ideas
• Apply a systems-thinking approach to drive design solutions that scale
• Lead the growth and adoption of our digital product design system and UI component library. 
• Create user scenarios, user journeys, wireframes, UI designs, and prototypes throughout the full cycle of the product development process
• Produce high-quality visual assets to communicate product function efficiently.

Experience we’re looking for:

• Proven success in a product, UX or interaction design role with a heavy emphasis on systems design
• Track record of producing data-informed, effective experiences that deliver measurable outcomes for users and the business
• Ability to articulate design rationale based on data, insights, collaboration, and intuition
• Track record of forging strong relationships with cross-functional peers and stakeholders
• Advanced skills in design tools such as Figma, Sketch and other prototyping tools
• Basic understanding of foundational web UI technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) 
• Experience with user-testing platforms and related software (i.e. usertesting.com, userzoom, qualtrics, etc.)

• Ability to analyze data and research into actionable recommendations and strategies.
• Passion for design systems and data-informed product design
• Understanding of web accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Product Management, Marketing and Senior Leadership
