About the Role

If you have a passion for solving complex problems through designing elegant and intuitive product experiences and designs, a desire to transform a complex industry and an intense interest in identifying a better way of doing things - this might be the perfect role for you. The Product Designer role provides you with a unique opportunity to join a high growth, third-party logistics company as we pivot into a record-breaking 3rd year. Shipwell is laying the foundation on which our industry will be reinvented; we’re looking for individuals who want to be part of a significant change. What you’ll do when you get here:

• From day one, you’ll leverage your extensive knowledge of product user experience and visual design principles to solve ambiguous problems and design clear, intuitive, and delightful user experiences.
• You’ll work closely with product management, engineers, other designers and data scientists to truly understand and break down problems to design and refine clear user-facing solutions.
• You’ll lead design research with customers - testing prototypes and concepts early and often to deliver products and features that focus on user pain points.
• You’ll get to know customers and users intimately - understanding that empathy for their problems and challenges is the only way to design successful products.
• You’ll design for desktop, native mobile and mobile web environments to ensure a consistent end-to-end user experience across platforms and personas.
• You’ll deliver polished visual designs and design documentation for web, responsive web and mobile apps.
• You’ll maintain a balance between perfection and speed to ensure we can quickly deliver the most valuable solutions for our users.
• You’ll build and leverage a comprehensive design system of reusable patterns and components.
• You’ll push boundaries, challenge conventional wisdom and never settle for the status quo.
• You’ll share your passion about our users, product and processes, understanding the role of design in making it all successful.

What you need to have:

• 3+ years of B2B SaaS product design experience. 
• Experience working within and contributing to a design system.
• Experience with the end-to-end design process (Research & Requirements Gathering, Ideation & Design, Prototyping & Testing). 
• Ability to show work examples that demonstrate your design thinking and problem solving as well as visual design skills.
• Confidence to go find the answers and take ownership in pushing product boundaries with the intention of always improving the product.
• An intense curiosity for understanding our customers and thinking through their problems and pain points.
• Experience working openly alongside designers, product managers, engineers and leadership in a highly collaborative environment.

What is Preferred:

• Relevant experience in the Logistics Industry
• Research Background experience

---The Salary Range for this role is between $90,000 - $110,000 based on Years of Experience, Skillset, and Location.
