Product UX Researcher
Job Description:
About Pluralsight Flow
Pluralsight Flow is built on quality metrics that help engineering teams improve their processes and advocate for themselves based on data-driven insights rather than hunches. This year we are focused on helping customers understand how to bring value to their teams with our product. We are looking for a researcher to join our design team to help evolve our product by putting data driven design at the forefront of our decisions in designing a user-centered product.
The Opportunity
We believe in Human-Centered Design, autonomous teams, and the customer breaking the tie. We are data driven and want research to lead us to the best solution design for our customers. Which means you will be working closely with product designers, product managers, and analysts who all share the same focus: learning from our internal and external customers and using that knowledge to decide what problems to solve and how to solve them. This is why we look for researchers who are experienced, data-centric, organized, good at understanding people, and are driven by the love of what they do.
We are currently hiring for a Product Researcher role that focuses on establishing and leading research as a discipline within our product and design teams. You'll support teams' research needs by understanding and leading programs to help gain insights from our customers about their needs, as well as validate/invalidate hypotheses about how they use our product. We are looking for an independent, results-oriented researcher to join our team to bring customer research to the forefront of our product and design practices, helping to evolve our customer experiences, and contributing to raising the bar on our best in class engineering analytics platform.
Who you are:
- You are focused on making progress every day
- You ask detailed and specific questions, understand nuance, and challenge conventional wisdom
- You care about the success of our customers and understand that what people say they want and what they actually want may differ
- You are data driven and understand the impact of unbiased research practices
- You have solid organization skills and coordination and planning skills
What you'll own:
- Establishing and evangelizing a research discipline within the product and design processes
- Preparing, coordinating, leading, synthesizing and presenting findings for remote moderated and unmoderated research, both qualitative and quantitative
- Maintaining an organized repository of past research initiatives and findings to be the source of truth
- Collaborate closely with the product design, management, and analytics teams to understand and identify how to best support their initiatives
- Collaborate with designers on concepts, wireframes, designs and prototypes for testing and experimentation
Experience you'll need:
- Expertise in various user research and product experimentation methodologies, best practices and tooling.
- An analytical approach to validating/invalidating hypothesis and design assumptions
- Provide design insights through unbiased synthesis of the various types of research
- User experience design or working closely with user experience designers
Please submit a resume and portfolio
Link to a portfolio or attachments are fine (study plans, reports, etc).
