What Your Days Will Be Like: 

Care.com is looking for an empathetic Senior Content Designer to join our design team. The ideal person will be working closely with product designers, researchers, and product managers to bring Care.com’s mission and feature sets to life through on-brand, empathetic messaging across our customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the growth of a leading brand.

What You'll Be Working On: 

• Drive the content strategy, content creation, and UX best practices that are essential to enhancing the customer experience
• Transform ideas, business opportunities, research, and creative vision into compelling, clear, concise content that adheres to brand strategy, guidelines, and tone
• Collaborate and communicate ideas with the spirit of camaraderie
• Present work with the ability to defend your decisions persuasively
• Use feedback and testing takeaways to iterate effectively
• Partner with legal, safety, marketing, and other stakeholders to balance competing for needs and perspectives
• Influence a test, learn, and optimize the approach to content development where you’ll make data-driven decisions on the topics, tone, language, and delivery of content
• Work with the design system team to develop and manage content guidelines and patterns
• Evangelize for the role content design plays in the product development process 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Superb content designer, content strategist, or UX writer with 5+ years of experience
• Enjoys everything from content inventories to getting the error messaging just right
• Adept at using language that is compelling, concise, and friendly to guide a user through a digital experience
• More of a strategic thinker, less of a label editor
• Sees complex interactions and can instantly find ways to simplify them.
• Polished presenter, user advocate, and champion for collaboration (early and often)
• Can pivot quickly and multi-task; values pace over perfection
• Exudes positivity, requires minimal supervision, and has a strong work ethic
• Can both defend recommendations and negotiate feedback from multiple decision-makers with diplomacy and an open mind
• Nice to have: Experience with Figma, Sketch, Miro, or other design tools
