Engineer - Virtual Engineering- General Assembly
Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute Static, Dynamic Simulation study and Virtual Build activity.
- Create Collaboration context in MPP
- Achieve process excellence metrics like 100% First Time Quality, 100% On time delivery, 95% Efficiency,
- 85% Project Utilization by adhering to standardized work for all studies.
- Provide and implement continuous process improvement ideas within the team
- Seek & evaluate customer feedback and drive changes as appropriate Represent GA simulation in the appropriate forums.
- Participate in global product development working calls & team meetings.
- Capture and share lessons learned within the team
- Enhance team's capabilities by bringing in innovation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge
- Working knowledge in Technomatix Process Simulate, Teamcenter, MS Office applications.
- Working knowledge of GA Shop processes, Equipment & material handling systems.
- Working Knowledge of IC-DO software for VR builds will be added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of PLM Structures, Methodology & interface with manufacturing
- Good understanding of the GVDP, GLP, Quality Chain, DFMEA-PFMEA
- Good knowledge on Project Management methodologies
- Sound knowledge of OpEx tools, Six sigma and Red X methodologies
- Sound knowledge on GM-GMS Principles and Workplace safety systems
Skills
- Experienced in working with multiple interfaces to deliver the results
- Basic Data analysis and research to implement process improvement opportunities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good Problem solving & analytical skills
- Basic coding skills on process automation and business intelligence tools (C/C++, Java, VB script, Python, Power BI etc.,)
Abilities
- Work with intercultural & multi-disciplinary teams to achieve enterprise goals.
- Handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Good work ethic and strong sense of ownership of end result.
- High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/production/Automobile Engineering
Experience :
- 1-3 years of relevant experience mandatory
