What you’ll do…

Solicit feedback from employees, peers and management in order to ensure evolving our business and self.

Coaching and mentoring of staff, peers and management as needed.

Lead and grow a team of high performing Security Engineers.

Work closely with Duo’s Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure effective technology transfer, security design and implantation.

Understand the larger technology and security landscapes and identify the most beneficial places for research and support of Engineering projects and programs.

Ensuring Duo is customer #1. Work closely with other leaders across the security department to ensure Duo is leveraging the Application Security team work as widely as possible and making use of the various security mechanisms that are at their disposal.

Contribute in the larger security leadership context at Duo and identify opportunities across the broader Security and Product Development organization.

Represent Duo on various external technology working groups and committees and conferences

Skills you have…

Have lead formally or informally teams in the Application Security or Security Engineering space

Experience in working with and around the Secure Software Development Lifecycle

Have experience in working within the bounds of SLA/SLO and critical deadlines

4-6 years of proven experience in managing and leading high performing technical teams

Demonstrated experience with being able to transform vision and ideas into technology and or knowledge deliverables

Strong understanding of security first principles, the security market landscape and the current technologies and approaches used to solve today’s security problems

Excellent collaboration and communication skills along with the comfort and confidence to speak to a wide range of partners both internally and externally to Duo 

Strong desire to explore emerging, disruptive technologies that delight our customers
