As part of that investment, Praetorian is seeking a security architect.

Core responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize Google Beyond Corp, cloud centric architecture
• Leverage Cyber Defense Matrix to ensure coverage across 5 NIST CSF functions and 5 assets classes
• Collaborate with both product and services to improve data security everywhere
• Create security standard operating procedures and best practices
• Support services in providing said best practices to Praetorian's Fortune 500 client base
• Research attacks and develop novel ones that abuse the cloud provider APIs or misconfigurations 
• Collaborate with MITRE to build cloud attack techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs)
• Build continuous monitoring to validate systems against our security baselines
• Design and implement security automation everywhere
• Research and recommend new technologies, and deploy best-of-breed products
• Support services in recommending said best-of-breed to Praetorian's Fortune 500 client base
• Assist with design and build out of a cloud cyber range to test attacks and train team members 
• Train junior engineers on cloud security design, implementation, and deployment patterns

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of cloud security experience
• Experience with modern technology stacks
• Experience with micro-service/deployment architectures
• Experience with major cloud computing services
• Experience with 3rd party integrations
• Experience with security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and virtualization
• Experience with threat modeling and architectural risk analysis
• BS in computer science, computer engineering, physics, or mathematics

Desired qualifications:

• Hands on experience scaling security in the cloud
• Experience with Google BeyondCorp design pattern
• Experience with GCP, Firebase, Docker, and GKE
• Experience with Git, CircleCI, JIRA, and Confluence
• Experience with OKTA, Yubico, and SimpleMDM
• Experience with CarbonBlack, Digital Guardian, and Splunk
• Experience with Chef, Java, Python, and Go
