The Director of DevOps is responsible for overseeing and guiding the architecture, development, security, automation and management systems needed for our projects while defining patterns, processes and practices that ensure consistency, scalability and reliability.


  • Managing how applications interact with each of the environments needed throughout the SDLC

  • Overseeing and guiding the design, development and automation CI/CD for all projects

  • Collaborate with team members to improve engineering tools, systems, practices and security

  • Architect, develop, manage and monitor tools to ensure the health and reliability of applications, systems, and platforms

  • Develop and maintain architecture, deployment and troubleshooting documentation

  • Mentor junior team members while acting as an escalation point


  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field

  • You have 6+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent systems engineering role

  • Expertise in configuration and deployment automation tools (Ansible, Chef, GitHub Actions)

  • Expert knowledge of software development methodologies

  • Expert knowledge of IAC tools and best practices (Packer, Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Advanced knowledge of network, server, database, container architecture and application-status monitoring

  • Advanced ability to create custom tools leveraging open-source software

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with containerized applications

  • Advanced ability to act as team lead and decision maker

  • Advanced ability to facilitate clear and concise communication among team members as well as non-technical stakeholders

Skills and Tools: GIT, BASH, Docker, Kubernetes, NGINX, AWS CLI, Vagrant, Packer, Terraform, Vault, Consul, Nomad, CloudFormation, DataDog, Go, Python, Lua 

Required Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect (associate), AWS SysOps Administrator (associate), AWS Developer (associate)

Additional Recommended Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect (professional), AWS DevOps Engineer (professional), AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, GCP Cloud Architect, GCP Cloud Network Engineer, GCP Cloud Security Engineer
