Overview & Responsibilities
As a remote-based Mobile Application Developer within John Deere's Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) , you will be accountable for utilizing Swift to develop iOS mobile applications that seamlessly integrate with Operations Center™, our proprietary online farm management system that enables our customers to access farm data collaboratively and in real-time.
The effort you will put forth as Mobile Application Developer will be instrumental in shaping the future of agriculture, specifically through providing our customers and their partners with innovative mobile tools that allow them to farm more efficiently and farm more acres in less time.
You will also be involved with:
- Developing reusable UI components with SwiftUI for a shared product design system
- Collaborating with Product Managers and UX Designers to ensure the component library meets business and user needs
- Utilizing Swift, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js to develop new software functionality for product development
- Producing technical documentation to explain product functionality to colleagues and stakeholders
- Maintaining the component library as a product and partnering with other development teams to manage contributions
- Testing UI components across browsers and devices
- Adhering to agile software design methodology for development and documentation
What Skills You Need
- 3+ years of expertise utilizing JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js to develop interactive web applications and user interfaces
- 2+ years of experience with developing iOS mobile applications using Swift and SwiftUI
- Expertise in utilizing Spring Boot and AWS to create RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with TDD, software automation, CI/CD, Drone, and TypeScript
- A strong understanding of Responsive web design and reactive programming
- Sound knowledge of Microservices, Micro frontends, Event-Driven Architecture, relational and non-relational databases

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related IT discipline, OR equivalent and related mobile application development experience
