• How do we best enable interaction between a user and their twin?
• How do we best enable interaction between a user and other twins?
• What integrations can we facilitate to reduce users re-entering data they’ve already entered somewhere else?
• How can we enable small businesses to easily create digital twins that represent their businesses so that they are discoverable, not based on advertising dollars spent, but instead on the alignment of their services, operations, and principles with others looking for their services?
• How can we enable digital nomads to easily create digital twins that represent themselves and continuously improve on helping their user fulfill their objectives?
• How do we scale digital twin creation to be easily used by anyone to build a digital twin that represents them, their objectives, and automate helping them move the needle towards those objectives?
• What new marketplaces and tasks can we digitize for twins to enable them to create new revenue streams or time savers for their users?
• What partnerships can we create to facilitate reaching our team’s objectives and our user’s objectives fastest?

Role Summary:

Fetch.ai is on a mission to help people do what matters to them. We’re doing this by organizing reality and making it accessible for a user's digital twin to search, discover, and solve problems that help them do what matters in their work and life. As a mobile app developer, you’ll work on our Marketplace team which is a cross functional team focused on delivering value to people by helping them create a digital model of themself.

We’re looking for an independent thinker, objective oriented individual, willing to think outside the box, who is checks and balances oriented (aka doesn’t go rogue), who likes to methodically iterate towards solutions rather than developing big bulky releases and is highly motivated to work on a cross functional team.

• Continuously improve the company’s and team’s processes
• Passion for ease of use. 
• Ability to design and implement easy to use tools and reusable components, making thoughtful tradeoffs between consistency and availability when both are not possible.
• Drive for excellent documentation. Work with team members to develop concise and actionable documentation that enables users to get the most out of the application fast.
• Work cross-functionally with product designers, software engineers, and growth hackers to develop and communicate Fetch.ai consumer applications.
• Implement systems that are privacy preserving and hold Fetch.ai to the highest standards for security and compliance.
• Ability to understand the business and design fault tolerant systems that enable teams to implement changes rapidly and safely without impacting customers.
• We offer fully remote working options, but this position must support team members in the Eastern Standard Time to Pacific Standard time zones and be able to engage in person at events in North America.

Type: Internship

Must have experience/skills:

• Proven execution of creating mobile applications
• Experience with React Native or an equivalent Javascript framework
• Experience using HTML and CSS
• A deep sense of customer experience and ability to use that understanding to influence product direction
• Fundamental desire to build applications that makes it easy to interact, train, and gain value from your digital twin.
• Ability to translate highly technical concepts into understandable actionable documentation.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git
• Experience working with continuous integration and deployment
• Self-driven, open to collaboration and willingness to grow

Must have soft skills:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders within the team
• Customer experience skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to work with team members to resolve their issues
• Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network

Preferred experience/skills:

• 2-3 years of studying the discipline of computer science
• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience developing using Objective-C or Swift
• Experience developing on Android using Java
• Experience building Python applications
• Experience with Django and Django REST Framework
