About the role:

Our partner ecosystem is growing and we put great emphasis on supporting our partners at LumApps. As a Partner Engineer, you will work closely with our partners as they deploy LumApps to their customers to help them with technical solutions with identity and services providers, platform architecture and use case configuration. You will grow relationships with the consultants at these partners to enable them as they grow expertise internally and expand their practice with us.  

What you will do:

  • Support partners on customer technical problems through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation techniques to increase productivity for customer issues on LumApps
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of LumApps’s product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for partner projects
  • Work in a fast pace environment, adapting to abrupt changes quickly and providing new alternatives for unforeseen technical roadblocks
  • Resolve new technical challenges and document new processes that will help other customers and internal teams at scale
  • Support partner projects during installation process, IdP and SSO configurations, and other current and future LumApps technical native integrations
  • Build documentation for partners for the technical components of deploying and configuring LumApps.  Support partner training team with content creation and instructor led training.
  • Build relationships with product and engineering teams to facilitate solutions and workarounds for partners in their customer projects and provide product feedback you hear from partners.

What we are looking for:

  • Creative, out of the box thinker
  • Ability to build relationships with partners and enable them by solving customer issues with them in real-time so they can scale that knowledge to their future projects
  • Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years of practical experience as a Solutions Engineer or Customer Engineer in SaaS
  • Comfortable working with Google’s set of collaboration tools (Workspace) and Microsoft O365
  • Mindset for automation versus manually completing tasks using macros, scripts, etc.
  • Ability to work in multiple projects, with different deliverables and deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and a fast paced environment
  • Ability to find solutions to complex SaaS problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience working in a client facing environment
  • Ability to be hands on with our partners and offer strategic advice or solutions on integrations
  • Knowledge of end-to-end security and understanding of popular API security technologies such as OAuth, SAML, SCIM and SSO is a plus
  • Working experience with JavaScript and / or REST APIs is a plus
  • Working experience with Google Admin Console and Microsoft Azure Administrator tools is a plus

Our office is located just outside downtown Austin on the corner of South 1st and Riverside. We're in a great location, within walking distance to a ton of great fitness clubs, restaurants and bars!
