The Role
The Salesforce Technical Architect will guide the ongoing development of our Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Communities deployment across the various departments at Billd. The successful candidate will have a record of improving the design and business processes built upon the Salesforce platform, promoting Salesforce best practices, implementing technical integrations, and improving overall performance.
This position will work across Billd organizational units and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new features and capabilities. At Billd, the Architect role is an architect, a mentor, a developer, and overall craftsperson.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define best practices and communicate those best practices across teams.
  • Design, develop and deploy high-quality custom Salesforce business solutions.
  • Integrate 3rd party platforms using a variety of Salesforce API web services, including SOAP, REST, and various API methodologies, including Streaming and Bulk API.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Guide functional requirements into technical outcomes.
  • Design and build high-performance, maintainable and reliable Apex/Lightning code with best practices.
  • Document existing and new implementations.
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality while communicating recommendations for design and process improvements when warranted.


Competencies/Qualifications

  • 6+ years creating Salesforce technical architectures.
  • 3+ years with Salesforce custom development and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce-recommended best practices.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and translate complex requirements into technical outcomes.
  • Lightning Experience required.
  • Strong data management abilities.
  • Visual Force development experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Salesforce data security tools such as Salesforce Shield.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a bias towards mentoring others.
  • Experience with .Net or Java is a plus.
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Developer certifications are preferred.
