Dealerware has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to help us transform the way car dealers and manufacturers think about products and profits. Together, we will help dealers manage a mounting profit crisis; enabling them to find profits in new places by digitizing and automating their operations, while elevating the customer experience. We’re looking for someone who will help maintain, develop, and scale our platform to support our rapid growth. The ideal candidate is just as comfortable writing a python script as deploying a lambda and configuring real time production alerts.
As a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer, you will:
● Support and scale our AWS cloud and Kubernetes-based infrastructure
● Champion DevOps best practices, including improving availability, scalability and ensure successful execution of product roadmap that aligns with our platform
● Train and mentor the engineering team on DevOps tooling, methodologies, and best practices
● Use CI/CD best practices to create and implement an improved CI/CD strategy and release pipeline
● Implement a robust logging/monitoring/alerting solution using industry best practices
● Make impactful infrastructure automation improvements
● Work on containerizing and auto-scaling infrastructure components
● Maintain expertise in current and emerging technologies and tools
● Participate in daily scrum and planning as part of our agile practices
Required qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with 3+ years of experience in...
● A Cloud Systems and/or DevOps role supporting AWS services (EC2, Lambda, Data Pipeline, etc)
● Professional experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes and Docker containers
● Expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
● Implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies using tools such as Cloudwatch, the ELK stack, Prometheus, Icinga, or Splunk
● Implementing a comprehensive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) strategy
● Scripting in Bash/Python
● Implementing configuration management tooling (such as Ansible)
● Creating dashboards with tools such as Grafana and providing operational metrics (such as Accelerate metrics)
● Expertise with Git as a version control system and trunk-based development
● Expertise with common DevOps methodologies
● Excellent in working with distributed AWS environments
Preferred qualifications:
● Experience with SAML/OAuth and services like Auth0 and Okta
● Understanding the security and compliance aspects of Cloud Systems/DevOps
● Experience with programming languages like Python/Go
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
