About the role:
As a Software Engineer with Ascension Technologies, you will contribute to the creation of our robust suite of cloud-native enterprise grade clinical solutions in the rapidly growing healthcare software industry. You will be a member of a team working collaboratively in an Agile organization to deliver software that sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. You will work closely with Software developers, Product Management and other stakeholders to help cultivate a quality mindset, coach and advocate for quality, while assisting teams with software testing practices.

What you will do

• Be part of Greenfield application development leveraging latest architecture stack on Google Cloud
• Developing Java SpringBoot Microservices for building high performance, scalable and available solutions / products for clinicians to use every day while dealing with patients
• Work with other frontend engineers, Scrum Master, SDET, QA, stakeholders (Product, UX, etc.) to ensure delivered code meet specifications based on functional/technical specifications
• Participate in Agile routines and ceremonies; daily standups, sprint planning, sprint demos/retrospectives Ideal candidate will have:
• B.S in Computer Science, M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer
• 2+ Experience with Java SpringBoot Microservices frameworks
• 3+ experience on Core Java (JDK 8 features would be preferred)
• Experience working in a CI environment, Jenkins
• Experience with REST services and verification using tools like Postman
• Basic understanding of professional software engineering best practices for the full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive mindset, and a collaborative spirit are a must have

Requirements
Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience preferred.
