Who We Want

The Technology Director reports to the Vice President of Technology, and serves as the primary Salesforce Administrator and Developer for the company; the primary contact for the Salesforce application, and will be responsible for the administration of the application. This will include system configuration, maintenance, requirement gathering, enhancements, upgrades, creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards, maintenance of data integrations, end-user training, documentation and ensuring data hygiene and integrity. This position is our key IT liaison to our client’s IT team members who are providing input data files that ultimately drive our Salesforce application, and enables our Service Delivery and Sales teams to perform.

This position provides strategic input on computer hardware, software, and database issues while executing technology plans that support the company’s overall business in serving clients and members including addressing growth plans, supporting sales strategies to ensure clients can count on our organization to handle data in a reliable, accurate, and secure manner, and that the collective plans and actions will enable a great member experience and protect the reputation of the company and our clients.

What You’ll Do

As Technology Director, your work activities are client-focused including onboarding, one-time projects and ongoing data exchange centered on ensuring the organization is enabled to serve its clients and customers (members). You’ll work with your colleagues and external IT consultants, vendors and platform partners to ensure daily readiness to serve clients and members.

As a hybrid role of Salesforce Developer + Administrator, the Technology Director role will include user management, client onboarding and daily file management, daily data quality management activities, and database architecture. This role is an integral member of the company’s Technology team and will help drive and implement the information technology goals of the company. You will provide strategic support to leadership and functional areas regarding data analytics and reporting.

Here’s a Snapshot of Your Role

  • Ensure day-to-day technology readiness to support all clients and members by working proactively to avoid issues, applying well-versed knowledge of company systems, and closely coordinating activities with Service Delivery and Client Services teams.
  • Administer the Salesforce database and provide general technology support focused on supporting our client’s technology teams and their data requirements and needs.
  • Provide training to our Service Delivery team and Sales team to be effective in using our Salesforce application in serving customers via phone, in conducting personal selling process among our prospects, and in serving clients.
  • Focus on continual improvement in our Salesforce application which primarily supports the operation of the company, serves as the primary customer database for Service Delivery in a call center environment, and is integrated to our cloud-based contact center platform. In addition, you’ll ensure the Salesforce application continues to support our Sales team and the sales process.
  • Oversees technology portion of implementation work for all new clients, coordinates testing prior to launch and addresses any performance gaps prior to launching a new program.
  • Maintains a robust and effective error-edit routine and EDI environment using Dell Boomi to take in client provided data via secured data exchanges that are complete and accurate, or address any data quality issues prior to importing into our Salesforce platform.
  • Update and maintain our Salesforce documentation and other third-party platform documentation to ensure our platform diagrams and “blueprints” are current and apply current policies, procedures and best practices to ensure our organization is capitalizing on our investment in the platform and serving our business in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • Maintain good working relations and open communication with key technology contacts at each of our clients.
  • Contribute to and execute the strategic plan to ensure technology is supporting business growth, client requirements, risk mitigation, security and disaster recovery/business continuity.
  • Responsible for ensuring client technology/data standards are met and regularly exceeded.
  • Possess an overall knowledge of company, our mission and knowledge of our products and services as well as client goals.
  • Identify opportunities for continual improvement and strives for error-free execution.
  • Contributes to company goals for short and long-term profitability and success.
  • Participates in periodic status calls with clients to address questions, updates, or any issues in daily file exchanges.
  • Understands technology landscape and trends, reporting on the forces that shift mediums and methods that could impact the business, budgets and strategic direction of technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology-related field
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator Credentials (Certified Platform Developer I or II level preferred)
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator in a MAC OS Unix-Linux environment
  • Experience in serving enterprise-grade clients, creating reports, and supporting a call center environment would be a plus.
