About the Role

The Engineering Group Lead for our Flagship Group will manage four engineering teams to scale our existing offerings, while working closely with product and design counterparts to innovate on new ways to bring value to our clients. You will play a critical role in managing the people, processes, and technologies that power our largest revenue streams and provide the online marketing foundation on which tens of thousands of real estate entrepreneurs build their businesses.


This is a dynamic role that requires an equally dynamic leader. Someone who is willing to dive into deep technical details one day, and craft a multi-quarter strategic vision the next. The surface area of this group currently includes:

• Our proprietary CMS, website builder and the WAF, CDN and hosting technologies that power 25,000+ sites.

• Customized in-application flows to facilitate the onboarding of hundreds of clients per month.

• HTML, CSS, and Javascript templates used by our product fulfillment team to create our beautiful client sites.

• Rapid prototyping and testing to improve lead conversion rates at scale.

About You:

  • With 5+ years of experience hiring, managing, and scaling engineering teams, you excel at coaching your teams to find a healthy balance between pragmatism and purism while keeping customer value at the center of every thoughtful decision you make.
  • You’re well versed in Javascript, Postgres, React and AWS or similar technologies.
  • You enjoy a collaborative working environment and demonstrate a strong ability to build lasting relationships with various levels of stakeholders.
  • You understand that engineering can get nowhere on their own, and that a healthy tension with your Product and Design counterparts will lead to optimal outcomes.
  • You thrive in agile development environments, ensuring that your teams deliver on time and with high quality.

Any of these relevant experiences are also nice to have:

  • Managing website hosting at scale including DNS, CDN, WAF, etc.
  • Building or managing a homegrown Content Management System.
  • Building or integrating with various CRMs, like Salesforce or Hubspot, or experience leveraging integration tools like Zapier or Workato.
