CardFlight is seeking an FP&A Associate to join our Finance team. The FP&A Associate will be working directly with the Director of Finance on supporting projects and recurring processes across financial planning and forecasting; internal and external reporting; and strategic decision-making by the Board of Directors and leadership team. This is a cross-functional role where you will work closely with others in our Finance department, including our VP of Finance as well as our Accounting and Business Operations team members. This role is a great opportunity to grow into an owner of key FP&A processes at a fast-growing startup.

The FP&A Associate will report to the Director of Finance.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning and Analysis (80%)

  • Support annual financial planning cycle which includes revenue forecasts, expense forecasts and cash flow analysis
  • Assist in the development, preparation and execution of the annual budgeting process
  • Drive recurring financial forecast cycles, ensuring accurate projections, detailed reporting, scenario/variance analysis and cross-functional communication across departments
  • Support expense management and spend optimization efforts
  • Assist in Board of Directors meeting preparation and communications management
  • Support event-driven corporate finance analysis 

Team Engagement (20%)

  • Work with Business Operations and Accounting teams to develop key forecasting outputs and support Department Heads managing their budgets
  • Become immersed in the payments industry
  • Get involved with company-wide meetings and outings
  • Obtain and maintain a full understanding of our clients’ needs

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or a related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a finance role, preferably at a high-growth startup, investment bank or consulting firm (or equivalent) 
  • Superior people skills and a positive attitude
  • The ability to be flexible and flourish in a fast-paced atmosphere while remaining focused, working productively, and successfully juggling many tasks
  • The ability to learn, own and improve upon existing processes
  • Positive, polite, confident, sincere and friendly individual who enjoys supporting their teammates but is also an efficient independent worker
  • Your organizational skills and your ability to remain calm in an environment with a lot of competing demands
  • Experience with MS Office & Google Suite

What We’d Love for You to Have

  • Experience with and/or knowledge of Slack, Trello, QuickBooks, Salesforce & business intelligence tools such as Chartio, Tableau, AWS QuickSights, Holistics, etc.
