This position is based in Austin, TX, and reports to our Senior Payroll Manager.
Performance Objectives
- Process multi-state US and Canadian payroll and associated compliance with federal, state and local regulations;
- Prepare associated accounting entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger support, which includes the month end close process;
- Provide strong customer service to employees researching and answering associated questions;
- Take a lead role in the integration of newly acquired companies, and work with new domestic and international teams to facilitate alignment of policies and procedures;
- Rollout internal control initiatives and coordinate internal compliance testing;
- Support external auditors and coordinate the audit process; and
- Prepare and improve routine/monthly and ad hoc reports, reconciliations, analysis, and forecasts
Competitive Candidate Profile
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline. An equivalent combination of Associate’s degree and relevant work experience will be considered
- Proficient Excel skills and experience processing payroll using ADP or Ultimate Software (preferred) and
- 4 to 6 years’ experience with U.S. and Canada federal, state, and local regulations, and ERP general ledger accounting experience (preferably Sage Intacct)
