Senior Tax & Compliance Analyst
How You’ll Support Our Mission
ESO is seeking an experienced general accounting professional to drive process improvements in the month end closing process and help build a best-in-class function. The Senior Tax & Compliance Analyst will help maintain the company’s registrations, licenses, and sales tax. An individual who is highly organized and can prioritize among diverse and competing tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Reporting to the Controller, you will be part of our Accounting and Finance team.
What You’ll Be Doing - the day to day
· Maintain compliance with all US sales & use taxes, includes maintaining end to end process.
· Manage corporate registrations, business licenses as needed for state and local jurisdictions.
· Coordinate the completion of payroll tax filings with payroll team and payroll provider.
· Support the legal entity simplification process with appropriate filings.
Who You Are - the essentials (Some of the things required to be successful in the role):
· Knowledge of state rules and regulations, especially regarding sales tax
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet
· 3+ years with sales & use tax
· A passion for teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility
· Acute attention to detail
· Outstanding communication skills – including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to juggle multiple high priorities and have a willingness to learn
Who You Are - the desirables (It’s a plus if you have):
· Experience with Avalara
· Experience with NetSuite
