ABOUT THIS POSITION
As our Benefits & HRIS Manager, you will support every employee through all stages of life by administering and tracking benefits. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our HRIS, enhancing processes and policies, and supporting all P&C programs. You will partner across other departments to ensure we are in compliance, as well as lead larger P&C initiatives. You will collaborate with P&C colleagues to ensure that our HRIS and benefit plans align with our organizational business objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Benefits
- Partner with brokers to analyze utilization and identify trends/issues; recommend process improvements and/or plan design changes
- Manage open enrollment process including HRIS self-service design and testing, open enrollment communications, and training
- Act as council to the team for resolution of complex benefit issues
- Ensure accuracy and annual updating of benefits orientation and benefits-relating recruiting materials
- Oversee the administration of claims (disability, life, AD&D, workers compensation) processing and resolving coverage questions and problems
- Partner with the Finance team to ensure accuracy of benefit deductions & earnings, 401K contributions, as well as conduct annual 401K audit
- Due diligence for M&A targets, followed by post-acquisition benefits integration and change management oversight, including termination of acquired company's benefit plans, and advising employees of go-forward
- Collaborate on programs and initiatives that provide a stellar employee experience
HRIS
- Maintain the accuracy of our HRIS by implementing employee changes and corrections, creating policies, updating benefit carrier file feeds, and onboarding new hires
- Lead all P&C data and employee record management, reporting and analytics, including attrition, headcount, diversity, internal movement, performance and compensation and engagement survey
- Research and create workflows in HRIS to support compliance requirements of different states
- Research, identify, and report on key trends, metrics, and HR data and provide end users with standard and ad-hoc reporting
- Review, investigate, and implement key self-service modules (Benefits, L&D)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years in a benefits or benefits-related role
- Project management from beginning to end, creating and improving processes along the way
- Organizational skills; detail and quality-oriented
- Flexible and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Proactive and solutions-oriented nature and ability to predict and plan for potential obstacles
- Administrator experience with HRIS systems (bonus if UltiPro!), with robust reporting and self-service modules strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of pertinent federal and state regulations and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.
- High level of interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the team, and desire to create delight
